Amateur Hour....

After a significant amount of time away from this blog I am back and with more to say than ever…specifically about this year’s Presidential Race…and even more specifically about the liberal messiah himself, Barack Hussein Obama. So I would like the readers of this post to answer me one question: did you honestly think that an ultra-liberal, ultra-junior, black candidate would run for office without bringing race into the mix? Seriously, did you?

For the past year or so I have been racking my brain to come up with just what Barack Obama has to offer the people of the United States: Depth of experience? NO. An established history of bridging partisan gaps for the better interest of his constituents? NO. An avowed commitment to serve, protect, and honor the United States of America? NO. A serious commitment to FINALLY put race behind our social psyche and renew focus on individual achievement? NO. Dedication to keeping our homeland safe and winning our global struggle to protect our country and interests from Islamic terrorism? NO…absolutely NOT. Barack Hussein Obama brings nothing to the table other than the fact that he is a well-spoken, black man who has baptized himself as the metaphysical embodiment of the liberal quest to aggrieve themselves of an imagined, intangible sense of social racism that in their minds has never quite retreated from our country. Does his “inspiring oratory” and disgustingly false “sense of hope” he paints through fluff speeches and empty bubblegum rhetoric really qualify him or is it something else? Obama is the spirit of liberal atonement from years from their sins of racism...history has shown us time and time again how powerful the sense of white guilt amongst the liberal left, sentiments that are certainly echoed by Shelby Steele among others. Welfare…affirmative action…a society that lives on the eggshells of imaginary racism…eggshells that have lined the pockets of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Louis Farrakhan for years…eggshells that have allowed an entire culture to remain in defacto slavery in the form of ultra-hyped victimhood and ambivalence towards mainstream society. Without racism, Jackson, Sharpton, and 90% of hip hoppers would be out of a job…the black community would be forced to look into the mirror of reality and fix what they see or fade into the outer fringes of society forever. White liberals have proven to be useful patsies for race despots to maintain their grip on power…it’s fueled by guilt…they have allowed themselves to be baited time and time again for the short term gain of the few, yet to the long term detriment of millions. The black community screams for leaders who take them by the bootstraps and force them to come to grips with the ruins of their culture.

What better way for the liberal community to absolve themselves of the unbearable guilt of imagined racism then to anoint a Barack Obama…I say anoint because his candidacy has become a messianic quest for coronation…but what do we get? Do we all get to feel better about ourselves because we elected a black president and are therefore not racist or have somehow disavowed ourselves of the country’s white history? Keep in mind…most of our ancestors weren’t even here during slavery and were most likely suffering in worse poverty than most folks in Harlem…Do black children everywhere know that now they can achieve the highest office in the land through hard work and patriotic dedication to one’s country or do they simply pull the race card when the times get tough?

We will get an inexperienced, divisive, Machiavellian, hyper partisan, socialist who will do more to harm this country than any President in the past 100 years…but hey, we’ll feel better about our forefather’s racism…I guess that will overshadow the racism that will inevitably come back to our soil in the form of suicide plots and improvised explosive devices…

Thwarted and Not-So-Thwarted UK Terror Plot

The interconnected plot that was discovered in the UK this past weekend is yet another example that Islamic Terror is alive and festering beneath the skin of Western society. Until we realize that radical Islam has been at war with the West (not just America) for nearly three decades, the cancer will never be cured. Radical Islam is not just at war with George Bush, Tony Blair, or the evil corporations profiteering from Middle Eastern crude…they are at war with our very being, our very way of life. No amount of negotiating, regime change, or caving to demand is going to change this. Time and time again, Al Qaeda and its pestilent network have made their intentions known: to kill as many Westerners as possible. So why should we be surprised when they make good on their promises? Why should we doubt their words when they have proven their sincerity over and over again? We are in an existential struggle of epic proportions against an enemy who is unlike any we have faced before. Tragically, our media and left-leaning political opportunists have chosen to cultivate a state of denial amongst the majority of our populace…why not? It is a lot easier to ignore something than to face it, right? A simple consideration of statistics says that one of these attacks is going to prove successful…I wonder, where the elements of denial and opportunism will go?

Commuting of Libby’s Sentence

A massive fine, even larger legal fees, a conviction, loss of legal license, probation, and irrepairably damaged reputation…hardly getting off without a scratch…especially considering no crime was committed. Unfortunately, George Bush doesn’t have the courage to offer a proper pardon to his longtime advisor. Perhaps the most nauseating aspect of the whole thing is hearing Hillary’s shrill cry of injustice…from one half of perhaps the most despicable political reunion in our nations history that’s truly rich. May God help us all if she gets elected.

Subprime Excuses

This morning the Wall Street Journal is running a front page article entitled: "DAY OF RECKONING 'Subprime' Aftermath: Losing the Family Home," basically it is another sympathetic piece about the supposed victims of predatory lenders who signed up for loans that they can no longer afford to service. In true form the article chose to focus on a predominately black neighborhood in the decaying city of Detroit to use as an example. The homeowners profiled in the story are painted as innocent lackeys who signed up for high interest or exotic loans at the behest of fiendish, bigoted lenders who deliberately target blacks to entrap them into paying higher interest rates than whites with similar credit histories (what about similar employment records?? They didn't take that into consideration in the article. Steady employment with steady salary is a huge factor in determining rates, no?). So why did these poor helpless souls decide to fall prey to the horrible bigots drooling over their subprime prey, itching to do harm to the black community? The article states:

"Some used the money to buy their houses. But most already owned their homes and used the proceeds to pay off credit cards, do renovations and maintain an appearance of middle-class fortitude amid a declining local economy. "

So the economy is to blame. Or the awful credit card companies? Or the culture of America that drives people to maintain the facade of middle class fortitude? As typical in the mainstream media today and the greater society in which we live, no consideration was given to individual responsibility whatsoever...it took the easy way out and blamed as many outside influences as it could possibly traingulate.

The subprime drama so depressingly (gag) described in the WSJ piece as well as the greater media at large can truly be boiled down to the fact that people simply do not want to take responsibility for making a stupid decision and would like to assign blame to a third party. I can be fairly safe in making the assumption that no mortgage broker held a gun to the head of any of these people and forced them to sign mortgage documents. Any thinking person can take a calculator and figure their budget in order to decide whether or not to take on additional financial commitments...buying a house is one of the biggest decisions one will ever make!

Do I blame the sometimes shady mortgage peddling industry for some of this mess? To an extent, however, it's their job to sell money...that's what they do...it's how they get paid. The onus is truly on the consumer to be responsible enough to make the right decisions. I think the mortgage brokers and the banks purchasing these loans should have had stronger risk management teams in place to weed out possible credit risk prior to issuing these loans, but hey these firms are already being punished by the market for their stupid mistakes. Off the top of my head I can think of several large mortgage lenders who have gone under as a result of failed risk management policies. These companies know they are to blame and are reaping the consequences of their heady ways.

On the flip side of the coin, however, homeowners who took on far more responsibility than they could knowingly handle are absolutely to blame. The buck truly stops at the consumer...hey, it's YOUR OWN FAULT. I'm sorry you can't pay your payments on your home, but you know what? It's not my fault you signed for a $650,000 mortgage when you only make $2,000 a month?? What are you thinking? It's not because you are black, it's not because the economy in your city sucks, it's not because you have to uphold some standard of living, it's because you are STUPID. No one should bail these people out, the banks should forclose on what's left of their property and liquidate the assets...that's life. Maybe next time the poor little unsuspecting consumer will pick up a calculator.

Winning Congressional Attitude

I cannot think of anything more cowardly than the game our ‘so-called’ representatives are playing over the Iraq War funding bill. It is utterly reprehensible to not move in a quick and efficient manner to get our soldiers every resource they need to conduct a war on foreign soil. To make such a despicable play for points as to submit a war funding bill that they knew would be vetoed is Machiavellianism in its worst form and the American public should have the intelligence to see the ploy for what it truly is. Unfortunately the liberal media has eaten the story for all its worth and has continued to make a mockery out of the sacrifices being made by our men and women in uniform. Driving the knife even further, on top of the every present “the war is lost” comments, there is now talk on the floor of submitting half a bill to the President that would only carry through until the end of July. I can literally feel the bile rising past the lump of sorrow in my throat…I continue to offer the following challenge to the freeloading, cowards in Congress: Use your purse-string authority and withhold war funding from the President outright, simply pull the trigger and hold a vote today on pulling all funds from our troops abroad. If you are so vehemently opposed to the war please do what you feel is the right thing and take action to remove our troops. Ultimately you will hold responsibility for the aftermath of your actions, but do your duty and put your money where your mouth is. Unfortunately, this will not happen and our brave leaders in Congress will continue to take away the necessary tools for victory in return for temporary and disgustingly cheap political gain.

Attorney Firing Imbroglio~

Much ado about nothing….or is it? This most recent attempt by the Democratic Congress to fabricate a scandal from nothing is indicative of a larger, more sinister problem: the obsessive attempts of Pelosi and Company to infringe on the powers of the Executive Branch. “The First 100 Hours” failures aside, the only promise that the incoming Democrats have kept is to relentlessly pursue and weaken the Bush Administration on all fronts. From the Iraq War to taxes to attorney firings, the so-called scandals have done nothing but to vastly weaken the public perception of our Government and has literally reduced the Legislative Branch to a nursery full of snot-nosed cry babies. While none of these self-induced scandals will ever truly amount to anything more than embattling an embattled president, I know one thing for sure: we are in for a couple more years of deadlock and Machiavellian politics that fail the constituencies of the representatives. I can only hope and pray that the Bush Administration fights these worthless subpoenas all the way to the Supreme Court.

Bush Administration~

The attorney firing business is another example of the complete inability of the Bush Administration to stand up to critics and defend clearly lawful and justified measures. The list literally grows on a daily basis: Iraq, firing attorneys, Plamegate, warrant less wiretaps, SWIFT tracking, Gitmo, prisoner interrogation, and so on. The Democrats, like the sharks they are, smell blood in the water and will continue to feed on W until measures are taken to swat them away. To be honest, I don’t see it happening…rather, I see a trend of the administration to try to placate its critics by removing key figures such as Rumsfeld, or capitulate on wiretapping provisions…you name it. At the end of the day, the near demonic hatred of the president will only be satiated by a resignation of the Chief Executive. The battle needs to be fought in the court of public opinion….regardless of what the Democrats wish to believe, the President of the United States has the national stage to do with as he pleases. As I have said on these pages countless times before, the fight is a PR fight and the President needs to attack his critics head on and in a more forceful way than he is currently employing. In a time of sensationalized news stories and rabid news sources, the fight needs to be dirty and it needs to be personal. The Administration needs to make its message nasty in order to be heard….why not call Democrats what they are? Why not call John Murtha a lowlife turncoat? Why not take the Congress to the Supreme Court to defend Executive Privilege and separation of powers? The effects can only be positive for someone with abysmally low approval ratings…people will pay attention. Bush was elected again in 2004 for his strength in foreign policy and aggressive pursuit of terrorists, he has always been known for his steadfast conviction….the answer is simple here: the public sees a president who doesn’t defend himself as weak, the enemy sees a president who allows his opponents to walk all over him as weak…it’s time to show some of that George W Bush resolve and fight back…please!

Iraq Surge~

Recent reports coming from the front lines of Iraq have shown the much maligned “troop surge” in Baghdad and Al Anbar Province to be showing early signs of significant success. Violence and attacks on US troops have dropped over 50% in most areas and the violent Shia militias seem to be largely pacified. The residual attacks on civilians and military seem to be coming from the Sunni extremist elements that are aggressively being exposed up by a sick and tired Iraqi populace. While it is too early for an “I told you so moment” to the cut and run crowd that infests the Capitol, I am very optimistic about the results. With continued vigilance, conducive ROEs, and holding strategies the cancer that infects central Iraq can be eliminated and we will be one step closer to bringing our men and women home. My only message to the service folks on the front: “Keep fighting the good fight for the sake of your loved ones, brothers in arms, and the country you hold dear.”

Weekend Anti-War Protests~

Have you ever seen the makeup of some of these crowds? Imagine you are cooking a gumbo: throw in some anarchists, communists, aging hippies, bored liberal college students, homeless people, and more aging hippies…viola! You get an anti-war protest…come on; no one really takes these people seriously in life much less when they mottle themselves together and march on our large cities. The vast majority of these nutcases don’t even believe in voting anyway, so in effect their voices are worthless to those in power….have fun people.

Sunday Night Fights at MSG~

New York City high school basketball championship….NBA All-Star Weekend in Vegas…rap concerts….hip hop clubs…..What do they all have in common? Thug culture and violence….specifically thug culture as manifest through real world violence. Are you really surprised anymore to see reports in the news of violence at these venues? I mean really? The most recent example of violence and shooting outside of Madison Square Garden this past Sunday night following the NYC high school basketball championship is just another sad reminder of our far thug culture; particularly young black male hip hop thug culture has alienated itself from anything resembling functional society. You have a leaderless culture that celebrates outlaws, uses race as a crutch, perpetuates fatherless child rearing, and alienates itself from the wider American culture…what do you expect? There is simply no leadership in the black community, there is no one to stand up and celebrate accountability or hard work….there are only opportunistic race baiters such as Al Sharpton, outlaw thug “artists”, criminal athletes, and general sentiments of victim hood. This problem will only get worse until it is addressed….as our society continues to expand economically and socially as part of the globalized 21st Century, black America will increasingly be pitted against other subcultures who are willing to take accountability for their actions and have a stake in their futures. Unfortunately this battle will be lost….stay tuned on this one because it is a crash course.

Al Gore/Valerie Blame/Brittany Spears~

Your 15 minutes are up…go find a lake and jump in it.

Senators Running for President~

If I left my day job indefinitely to travel around the country, raise money and sell orange juice I think it would be safe to say that I’d be fired. Why in God’s name do these candidates’ constituents allow their representatives who should be in Washington advancing their interests neglect their duties and still get paid for it? Seriously….to do so is a supreme waste of taxpayer treasure and goodwill. Any self respecting human being would resign their position to another who will represent the constituency prior to embarking on a national campaign. It is dead wrong…

2008 Election

Who the hell cares? Before the country falls entirely under the “charismatic” aura of the liberal Jesus Christ, Barack Osama (oops…Obama) let’s keep a few things in mind:

Ø We are still conducting a full scale, two front shooting war against an enemy who will not stop until he drives us out of the Middle East and brings the war back home

Ø There are two more years of the Bush Presidency left which will inevitably result in more deadlock than an LA Freeway

Ø Counter-terror operations continue at home and with each passing day the likelihood of a terror even increases

Ø The public and mainstream media have adopted a campaign mindset that completely ignores more pressing items that directly affect the American public.

Ø Our economy continues to thrive, however, several major risks circle on the horizon. Threats that are only mitigated by bipartisan cooperation.

Sadly, however, none of this matters…candidates from both parties will be aggressively campaigning with their heads in the sand for the next two years. Unfortunately for the power-hungry ilk infesting our airwaves on a daily basis, in the real world, risks cannot be put on layaway. We have created this Machiavellian cesspool that is infested by political opportunists of both parties. An American would focus his/her efforts on making a difference NOW in their current capacity….a slimy coward puts it off for two years.

Nuclear Agreement with North Korea

What nuclear agreement? We just renewed the oft maligned 1994 Accords of the Clinton Administration that effectively bribed the North Korean government to suspend their nuclear weapons program in exchange for aid. Of course this was a ruse and the DPRK continued to develop nuclear weapons and even tested a weapon a few months back. 13 years later, we reached a “six party” agreement that provides aid to the DPRK in return for a suspension of nuclear activities….key word here is activities….nothing about weapons program….oh yeah and did I mention that the DPRK called the agreement a “temporary suspension”? Worthless….

Where’s your heart, George?

Non-Binding Resolution Condemning Troop Surge

This little piece of legislative trickery is nothing more than cowardice pure and simple. It is a blatant attempt by the spineless opportunists that have dug their hooves into the halls of our Congress to have their cake and eat it too…Light on commitment and heavy on lack of courage. I cringe to think of what a Marine sitting atop a roof in Ramadi might think about the very Congress he is risking his life to defend voting to condemn the cause for which he is risking his life. It is sell out pure and simple…if the sponsors of this resolution had any balls whatsoever, they would vote to cut off all funding to troops in Iraq. At least it’s a stand, and a stand that they would be accountable for.

However, this fear of accountability is the same fear that precludes anyone in the mainstream left to come up with a counterproposal for the war in Iraq. George Bush has even requested a proposal from them….it is easier to take the low road and snipe at those in office.

Dixie Chicks Winning Big at the Grammy’s

Who knows? I didn’t watch it….like most of America, I get my music from I Tunes. I hear a good song on the radio and I buy it online…I don’t care about what the artist has to say about life, politics, or anything else for that matter…I simply expect them to do what they do best, produce music…I’ll do my own thinking. Judging by the sheer number of white headphones I see in the subway every day, most of America has taken that road. The music industry as it is today will be extinct in five years, hopefully then we’ll have more artists who put their energy into their music as opposed to telling us how to think.

Bush Derangement Syndrome

I’m certainly not blindly supportive of our President but I’m alarmed at the infectious level of hatred towards him that permeates our society. I’ve commented on the treasonous hatred of George W. Bush numerous times and have made my disgust with the rapid infestation of Bush Derangement Syndrome quite clear. It has become the en vogue thing to bash the Bush Administration…much like the latest pair of Uggs, it has become increasingly hip to denounce our Commander in Chief as ‘evil, devil, stupid, etc”. Largely originating from the MSM and the rocket scientists in Hollywood, this Bush Derangement Syndrome has truly take a hold on American society. Aside from the obvious fact that 99.9% of the “I hate Bush” rhetoric is uninformed, baseless drivel there is a more sinister ramification at play here. The net effect has been to slowly erode the prestige, power, and moral authority of the Executive Branch (a phenomenon that no doubt started in the late 1960’s). The constant abuse that is hurled at the President has had a dangerous effect of delegitimizing the American Presidency to the point that I do not think it can recover. It has given birth to a terrible cycle that will inevitably continue with the next Administration as Republicans settle the score for the Bush years or vice versa…Do you think that the Republicans will let a Democratic President go unscathed…I think not (remember the Clinton years!). What good does this do for our country? What good can slandering the very most visible symbol of the United States do? It simply degrades our Government and increases discontent in our political landscape. By all means engage those in power in meaningful and constructive debates, but verbal sniping is not constructive…period. Look at our current political landscape: Dems do not want to actively debate the war on terror, rather have chosen to engage in verbal sniping of current policy with no alternate suggestion….they intend on doing so just enough to undermine the administration until the election in 2008….Isn’t it scary that we have gotten to the point where some would rather risk American lives so they can score defamatory points against our President. It’s pretty sad when a mark of honor for the leftist intelligentsia is “I hate Bush.” Readers when you encounter this phrase please ask the following two questions:

1) Why do you hate Bush?

2) What do you propose we do about it?

I promise you that the response you get will be about as dim-witted and dull as a “spork in a prison mess hall.”

Democrats Non-Binding Resolution

The Democrats in the House have vowed to submit non-binding resolutions in protest to the new strategy in Iraq and have further threatened to cut funding for the troops. Aside from the obvious Constitutional issues here that clearly outline the President’s power to conduct foreign wars, there is still the glaring question of what the Dems actually propose we do. I will pose the question to the American Left yet again: What do YOU propose we do? Inevitably we will probably never get a real answer because as long as those in power can duck and roll towards 2008, the less accountability they will have. There is zero concern for what is to be done for the best of country, rather the only consideration is what will be done for the party in 2008. Voter referendums should be initiated to bring them all back to their home states and fire them.

Iraq as Vietnam

I make the standing offer: I dare anyone to present me a legitimate argument that successfully draws ANY comparison between Iraq and Vietnam from a strategic perspective. The only parallel is that American Left in both cases desperately wants our military to lose and thereby further their own political gain.
